MM. Carry On My Wayward Son

Ever since I've played Guitar Hero, there has always been one song that stood out for me. I never heard it before I played it, but regardless I played it good. We're talking about 5 star good without trying. That song was Carry on my Wayward Son by Kansas.
Now most people would be like who, what, huh? But it's more then likely that you have heard the song. I know that it was used in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.
But the main place that I sure that you may of heard the song is Supernatural. I'm a massive fan of the show and just saw the end of season 4. I'm not going to ruin for people that haven't seen it yet, but I kinda saw it coming. But I was a little pissed at how they just left it hanging.
Back to the song. It has been always be used as the background song to the final episode run down, also known as the "The Road So Far", of all the events so far in any season. It's also very fitting for the show not only due to the words, but the also for the bands name is Kansas. It's where the Winchesters are from.
Without further ado. Here's the song. I also felt that saying how Supernatural has such a strong link to the song now, I felt that it appropriate that it would be a Supernatural video montage.

I really can't get enough of Supernatural. Most of the girls they chose to cast are some right hotties. Like Ruby in season 3. Damn. I'm not normally a blonde kinda guy. But in this case I would make an exception.

That's just mean

Come on. Why would do that to someone who blantantly can't climb? Unless of course the guy was being a dick. Then I guess it would be kind of ok. But I still would of got it afterwards.

Do you dance?

I guess the question should be made a bit more clearer. I mean when you hear some song do you have an urge to just pop your body to it? To let your energy flow? To put the music into motion?
I have a bad habit when I'm at work and there is nothing to do of dancing to the store music. It will start with an innocent swaying, back and forth. Then turn into a shuffle of the feet. Followed by some elaborate hand motions. Luckily I regain control of my body and senses and stop myself before I turn the shop floor into a dance floor and scare away any customers that come in.
Today the same thing happened. But after wards someone said I was so strange. I'm not strange just different.
But then I started thinking have there been any other times when people have just started randomly dancing? I started looking and guess what. There are.

I love how this guy has been practicing on this dance. Kudos to him for doing it in public.

What do you do when you don't have the video game? Dance to the music of course. We've had the migraine skank and the swine flu skank. Now it's time for the Song of Storms skank.
One quick thing. Watch the video again. But keep your eyes on the guy in the back. Dude is trying to some some pole dancing moves.

Maybe I'm not so strange. Sading I do work for T-Mobile it does seem fitting that I also want to dance once in a while. It's not like they're setting a very good example for me now does it?

MW. Drag to me Hell

Ok I need to do a couple of checks before I talk about this.
  1. Do you like horror movies? You do great.
  2. Are you slightly squeamish? Like would get a heart attack if someone jumped at you from a bush while brandishing what could possibly be a dildo? Or would you take said blunt instrument and stick it to the masked "ass"assin (Hehe)? If you would do the latter then keep reading.
  3. Do you like seeing gooey stuff? Yeah. That's kinda gross but I guess everyone has their own kicks.
  4. Would you say that humor is needed in a horror? Sweet.
If you've got this far then I feel pretty safe to say, that you'll like Drag me to Hell.

I can guarantee that there will be some part that will literary make you jump or hide behind your eyes. Actually it's more then likely that it'll happen again and again. I know this for a fact as it did actually happened loads of times to myself and my date.
There is some poor acting (I've seen trees that are less wooden, hell even Mr Reeves is more animated) but the movie will keep throwing things at you. Actually it would probably be better to say that it keeps throwing up things at you. That's where the gooey stuff comes into it. I don't think I've ever seen so many things pulled out of the oral orifice in all the movies that I've ever seen. You named it, they pulled it. It ranged from the obvious stuff for a horror movie like Maggots to the not so obvious like cute little kitties.

Free at last!

Another plus for the movie is that it was directed by Sam Raimi, famous for films such as Spiderman and Evil Dead. With two such big francises under his belt you know that this was going to be good. That it will have the graphical power of an action movie and the thrills of a horror.

The man himself.

Below is the trailer, to tell you the truth it doesn't do the movie any favors. It's good but doesn't convey the full jump out of your seat experience that there is.

P.S. A quick little note for people who may think that girl on girl action is hot and cool. If you want to keep those prevy images of girls getting it on intact, then don't go and see this film. It takes a whole new meaning to the saying "snoging her face off".

MM. The Prodigy-Warrior's Dance

If you want to some mix running or cycling at the the gym this is one of the best songs to do it to. It's got the slow and fast parts that are great for the short bust of speed you need when doing things like a cardio work out.
I'm really liking the recent release by Prodigy. I personally felt that the last album fell a little bit flat but with "Invaders Must Die" I feel that they gone back to their roots while still managing to keep it original.

MW. This is who Sheva should of been

Mama Bimkubwa. If they only used her as a base for Sheva. It doesn't have to be her 100% (although that would of been for the best).
If Mama Bimkubwa was with me in the marshlands I wouldn't be scared of going into the water or on the platforms where the Alligators are, I know that I would be in save hands and that she would save me.
Plus did you see the way she handled that Lion? And that was without any fire power! Can you imagine her with some guns. She could easily take on a little army of Lickers.
But this advert has raised up another point that I only notice was missing from Resi Evil 5. Where the f*** are the animals? And I don't mean cats and dogs. I mean the Lions and Elephants. Sweet crap how good would it have been if they had mutated Lions instead of Dogs?
There was only bad thing about this ad. Do I really want to know how gorgeous her Red Bush is? She doesn't even look like a red head.

MM. Bonkers - Dizzee Rascal

I'm additced to song. It's got everything I ask for in a song. A kicking bass line, lyrics I can (try and) sing along to and a sweet video to boot.

I'm loving the Chain Chomp helmet. I know he probably didn't mean to look like that but it's still rocking. The way the song just changes tempo half way is a good break in the song, helps stop it get to repetitive.
I also want one of those skull hoodies. I would look so fly busting grooves in a club with that on.

GF. E3

For those of you who aren't in the know, E3 stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo. But seriously who wouldn't be in the know and reading a Gaming Friday post?
And this year's E3 is litaerly around the corner. Monday the 1st of June to precise.

Starting off with Microsoft at 10.30am local time (6.30pm for us over here in Blighty), with what I believe is a first for E3, a live stream of the Press Conference. Normally it's after the show that you find out all of the different things that are going on. Now we can find out right away. I'm rushing home to see this as Microsoft seem extremely confidante with what they are going to have to offer. At least it seems that way with how they are flooding XBox LIVE with all there little clips on the "Spotlight" section. Here's to hoping that it's not going to be that they are ripping another idea from another company. Remember the Xmii? What you don't?Ahhhh now you do. The blatant rip of Nintendo's Miis.

MW. Super Mario Bros. The film not the game.

Was I one of the only people on the planet to like this movie? I admit I was young at the time (7 I think) so most of it went over my head. But it was still a good movie right? Actually I haven't watched it since I was 7. But I do remember enjoying it a lot.
When a movie is based on a game it normally flops. Super Mario Bros is just an example of this sadly, but the reason is quite clear for this. They don't follow the games story. Think about it. The Super Mario Bros movie actually has a decent story line. The problem is that they try to merge that story with the Mario franchise. Bowser is not a evolved version of a T-Rex. Nor is toad a reptile. Could you imagine if they made a Live Action Pokemon Movie but instead of catching them to battle, they were invading and you had to catch them to send back into space? Sucks, don't it?
Another example of this is the Tomb Raider movies. Both movies stick as close as possible to the games. And both movies are very successful.

Just to take my point further, I want you to watch the following clip:

Now if you were to watch that clip without the Mario-ness. The Bomb-Bomb, the names, the gun that looks like a SNES Super Scope (well make it a different shape at least) etc. that you would of had a decent movie.

It's times like these where I wish I had the skill to make a movie. Maybe that's not it. Maybe I just lack the movation. What ever it is I know that if I was to make a Video Game movie I would show every one excatly how to do it. Keep the main charaters in, do an ocassional refferance to a sub charater, try to get as many items as possible into the mix and the most imporant thing of all, KEEP. TO. THE. ORGINAL. PLOT.

MM. The Fear

Today's musical offering is from Lily Allen and her new album "It's Not Me, It's You"

I can't forget the hook. All it takes is just me to hear one little bit of it and BAM it in my head for the rest of the day. I'm thinking about possible purchasing the album as I haven't bought that many recently and I'm not a big fan of the "Free" way of getting music. I might do it to see if I like it but I will then purchase it if I do. It's only fair. If something is crap then why should the artist get my hard earned money. I wouldn't get paid if I give a half arsed service (I'm partially paid on commission). Actually I would get sacked after a while.
I'm loving the video. It goes really well with idea that she doesn't know what real any more. The best part in the video for me, apart from Lily herself (yeah I think she hot, you got a problem with that), was the dancing balloon people. That's so cool and it feels like the idea was plucked from one of my dreams (I do have strange dreams).

I'm so tired

I've just got back from the MCM expo which is held in Excel Center London every May and October. And damn I'm tired. It's my own fault I went and joined a group who were doing the Caramel Dance. If you don't the Caramelldansen then have a look at the video below

I think I managed to do it for an hour. Not in one go by the way. I think my arms would have dropped off if I tried that. But not only did we do that we also did a conga all around the event as well. The thing is we didn't just once. We did it so much that I lost count. I'm not just tired either, I think I've lost my voice as well. Again, it's my own fault. I was shouting at the top of my lungs "Come and Join our Conga, You know you really want ta." I don't know why but I'm get really happy when I know I made someone else's day. Just seeing some of the smiles that we got while we where all congo-ing along makes up for the fact that I feel like I might kneel over at any moment.

I know the pic is blurry. But what do you expect? Every one doing the Caramel.

Other things of note for this Month's event, the amount of Cos Play. It's increasing dramatically.
Not that I'm complaining. Just means more photo opportunities for me.
How many times are you going to see the following. Not that many that's for sure.

About time someone sorted out the Rabbids problem that we've been having.
Along with cosplay you also have all the goodies that are avilable to buy as well. I've already started up a nice little collection of Plushies but when I saw this I knew I would never have enough.Someone must of spiled a glass of water or something.
I'm gping bed now. Well I going to go and get ready for bed at least. I'm moving so slowly it'll take me an hour to get to my room.

GF. Pokemon...Just try and catch them all now b**ch.

So how many Pokemon are there now?
I lost count at 251. Hell I was even special enough when I was younger to tell you every single one of the original 151. In order. Sadly I'll be hard pushed to even remember all of them now but it was a neat skill to pull off in front of a crowd.
As you can probably tell I was one of those kids that was an addict. I think it got so bad that once when walking to Tescos I could of sworn I could the music playing over the shop tannoe. I told my mum which was a bad mistake at the time because she banned me from playing the game. Now I wouldn't mind. But back then it was sadly my life.
Sad isn't it. But at least I'm no where near as bad as what I was. But it got me thinking. What got me off of that crack of which I call PKMN? And I've come up with two conclusions.
  1. I was crap.
  2. After gold and sliver the choice of PKMN became ridiculous.
Now when I say I was crap I don't mean in game. I could easily lay the smack down on the elite four. But when it came to human opponents that would be where I flopped. I remember entering a tournament with all this cockiness that I would win only to be knocked out of the first round by a dick who carried on using double team (wanker should of learned some real moves) with a Starmie. But with that my rose tinned glasses were removed. I could see that I needed to spend less time thinking that I was the best and actually enjoy the game. I didn't bother doing anything like research on moves (I didn't fracture had such a low chance of hitting) or that by using rare candies, your PKMN would never have as nearly as strong stats as they would have if they level though battling.

Also I've done a quick search on Google and found that there is now 493! I don't think my pockets are that big to be having that many Monsters in them. The thing is I can truthfully say that at least three hundred of them are just to pad out the pokedex.
Think about it. Is there any point in the following one?

Seriously, why?

The thing is that I know that even though I not as Hardcore as I was before, I would still buy the next generation when it is release. I might even consider buying the re-make of Gold or Sliver when that is released. I think the reason why that game work so well was because it kept the original Kanto region of Red/Blue/Yellow. Maybe that's the third point that makes the later games in the series not on par with the originals.
The fact that they don't keep the original regions. How cool would it have been if at the end of Diamond/Pearl a space warp or time rip opened up and you could travel to all the previous games and help Ash defeat team rocket in the shadows. That would so rock. Dam Nintendo really should hire me to become a game designer.

By the way. Just in case you're wondering. Pickachu was one of my favorite. But not the main one. The Pokemon I liked the most was....Cubone

MW. Media Wednesday

Animated Wednesday has evolved into Media Wednesday. I will still do my reviews of Anime and Manga and all of the flash videos but I'll be able to talk about movie, comics and even art (if I'm feeling cultured).
So to get right into the flow here's a trailer for what I believe will be one of the best comedies this year.
Bruno.

If this even half as funny as Borat then it will brilliant.
There are too many quotes to chosse from but I feel that this one will do for today.

MM. Without Me

Saying that I've only started posting and that he has only just released his new album today I felt that Eminem-Without Me would be a fitting song for today's Musical Monday.

My only question where the hell did he pull that phone from in the beginning? Takes a whole new meaning to "His Packing".
